What else is going on?
We’ve asked the retailers and businesses across Leigh on Sea and Westcliff to help our charity raise awareness of what our local charity does for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
We are asking them to help us by giving out leaflets, putting up posters and dressing their window’s pink, then where possible helping with fundraising.
Lady McAdden has run Leigh in Pink for 4 years previous to the pandemic and with their move from the hospital site to Elmsleigh Drive, Leigh on Sea, we are your local charity, helping local people.
Being the only charity in the UK that offers 1 to 1 appointments with a specialist nurse to learn how to become Breast Aware. The nurses are available for appointments both at our premises in Leigh and in community venues – which include Coco Boo on the 4th October. (They also are available for video appointments) and a group talk in the community centre on the 8th October.
How you can help
We do not charge for our services but do ask, if you can, to donate as each video appointment costs us £17 and face to face £28.
If you own or work in an organisation that can give out leaflets, have a collection pot or Bra Bin, or would like to fund raise, please get in touch – leigh@ladymcadden.org
