Tuesday 6th June saw Lady McAdden Nurses and staff visit the Houses of Parliament for an Awareness Day.
On arrival, we went through security and were stopped with puzzled faces when a bag search revealed our knitted boobs. Luckily the security officer laughed and let us in!
We set up in two offices in Portcullis House and were visited by many MP’s from across the country. All that came along were engaged and interested by the work we do and some spoke privately with our nurses to learn how to check themselves with confidence and discuss concerns with their breast health.

After lunch we were given a tour – if you haven’t done it, we highly recommend you book one soon!

A huge thank you to Anna Firth MP and Sir James Duddridge MP for inviting us along, we had a great day!
